PRIMAVERA IN UN ATC !
Per lo scambio mensile ATC 2014 organizzato da Corinne /Passionbroderie70 ecco il mese di Marzo ,
tema PRIMAVERA . E qui di seguito come l'ha interpretato Michèle, la mia amica di Brest a cui esono abbinata ed io che ho utilizzato per la prima volta la tecnica del ricamo su carta/cartoncino.
Avevo visto alcuni esempi di ricamatrici francesi ma anche tante italiane che hanno fatto dei lavori assolutamente splendidi e volevo cimentarmi in questa tecnica , specie per inviare auguri un pò particolari.

Scambio sul tema VICHY , lo scambio di Marzo 2014 organizzato da Manou60 .
Sapete benissimo cosa intendo per Vichy nel settore hobbistica , va a dire il COTONE A QUADRETTI ,
di più o meno piccole dimensioni.
Lo scambio prevedeva infatti l'invio di 1 pezzo di tessuto Vichy di qualsiasi colore, acui abbinare un altra cosa (nastro, bottoni, fiocchi, ecc) sempre Vichynon necessariamente uguali al tessuto ed eventualmente un terzo oggetto a scelta .
La mia abbinata era Jeanine71 ed ecco il bello scambio cha abbiamo avto.

Oggi , è il primo giorno di primavera e del proverbiale "a San Benedetto, ogni rondine sotto il tetto" ...
ma sono arrivate le rondini? Negli ultimi anni erano un pò confuse , andavano e venivano
secondo i capricci del tempo bizzarro quanto non mai .... Fatemi sapere !
Intanto qualcosa di questo Santo speciale che, come la primavera porta luce e rinnovo della vita, ha saputo portare luce e vita nuova in un'epoca- quella dell'Alto Medioevo- buia e misteriosa .
San Benedetto da Norcia è IL FONDATORE del monachesimo in Occidente , fondatore di ordini monastici in cui si formarono tanti monaci che furono- con il loro intenso lavoro- gli artefici della salvezza di tante opere d'arte, opere letterarie,oltre a lavorare ed operare in tanti territori per renderli fertili sia in Italia che in Europa .
Per questa ragione San Benedetto è il Patrono d'Europa :credo che sia importante ricordarlo in questo momento in cui l'Europa vive nella confusione e nell'incertezza sociale, economica, politica e morale .
San Benedetto (fratello di Santa Scolastica) nacqua attorno al 480 a Norcia in Umbria da famiglia nobile.Mandato a Roma per apprendere discipline liberali, incontrò gli aspetti più barbari ed incivili di quell'epoca e si ritirò a vivere da eremita prima a Subiaco e poi a Montecassino, dove una volta tolta la statua pagana dedicata ad Apollo, instaurò il suo primo ordine monastico , dei benedettini appunto, in uno dei Monasteri più famosi al mondo , ahimé anche a causa delle guerre più recenti!

St.Benedict of Nurcia(Norcia, Umbria, Italy) has been the FOUNDER of MONASTICISM in the Western world , founder of the monastic orders which formed many monks who have been through their hard work the architects of the salvation of many art masterpieces , literary works , operating over large territories also combining thei intellectual works with farming and agricolture , turning many lands in fertile territories in Italy and all over Europe.
This is on eof the reasons why St.Benedict is the Saint Patron of EUROPE . I think it is important to rememebr this in this very moment while Europe is living in confusion and in social, economic ,political and
moral uncertainty.
He was born around 480 in Norcia,Umbria , from a noble family and at the age of 17 he was sent to Rome to learn and study liberal disciplines . But during his trip he met the most barbaric and uncivilized aspects of the society of that age and decided to retire and live as a hermit first in Subiaco , then in Monte Cassino . here , once removed a pagan statue of Apollo (Pagan god of light and sun), he established the first monastic order , the BENEDECTINES in fact, in one of the most famous and world-wide known monasteries , unfortunately also for having been stage of one of the most bloody battle of WW II...
The religious order founded by Benedict got spread all over the world : many saints , popes , bishops and distinguished fellows as St.Maurus, St Placysd Martyr, St Augustine of Caterbury , St Boniface , etc..
St.Benedict is considered as one of the four patriarchs of the Western world and his rules are still adopted and followed by many religious families .
This is main and most important rule PRAY AND WORK, work hard and pray a lot , you can do so much for the others and the world
Aujourd'hui c'est le premier jour de Printemps et le proverbe dit " SAINT BENOîT, chaque hirondelle sous le toit.." c'est-à-dire que les hirondelles retournent pour la belle saison pour leur nichoirs sous les toits. Mais est-ce qu'elles sont arrivées?? Au cours de dernières années elles ont eu un peu de confuzion dans leur tête à cause des caprices du météo si bizzarre , elles venaient et puis elles s'en allaient de nouveau pour retourner encore...
Il faut quand meme dire qulque chose de ce grand Saint qui, comme le Printemps apporte la lumière et le renouvellement de la vie , il a été la lumière et la vie dans le Moyen Age noir et mystérieux.

Un piccolo grande libro per fare del patch e quilting in tutta tranquillità, nel senso che alcuni progetti potrebbero prendere MESI!! ma sono molto carini e ciascun progetto è bien spiegato da Pascale Piète (edizione De saxe).Si possono anche applicare altre tecniche come quella dedicata al Crazy patchwork, il ricamo tradizionale e l'appliqué .Tutto completato da schemi e disegni.
A little nice book on Patch and Quilting from Pascale Piète (De saxe Edition) to make cute projects with calm and tranquillity ...lasting perhaps MONTHS!!! . Everything is well explained , step by step, and involving different techniques fron Patch to Quilting , from the Crazy embroidery to the traditional one , apliqué , sewing , etc. all the projects are complete with patterns and sketches.
Un petit grand livre par Pascale Piète (Ed.De Saxe) pour réalizer de beaux projets de Patch et de Quilting , et qui pourraient durer des... MOIS! On peut aussi appliquer de diffèrantes technique , Patchwork, Quilting, Crazy Patch, broderie traditionelle, appliqué , couture, etc... le sprojets sont completés par des fiches avec les patrons à reproduire .
Fra 3-4 giorni sarà Primavera . La notte tra il 20 e il 21 Marzo sarà l'Equinozio di primavera ,cioè le ore della notte saranno uguali a quelle del giorno . E quindi sarà ufficialmente aperta la stagione mite e dove farà da padrone il risveglio della Natura in tutte le sue forme e quindi accolto come sempre dal nostro più grande stupore!
Sarà poi il 30 Marzo a darci una ulteriore iniezione di ottimismo per la bella stagione con il cambio dell'ora anche se, con le lancette spostate di 1 ora , perderemo un'ora di sonno ...
Un giro in Toscana il weekend passato ed ecco alcuni "spunti" di Primavera.
In 3-4 days it will be Spring . The night between 20 and 21 March it will the Spring Equinox , namely when day and night are about equal lenght (same number of hours) .Then it will officially start the "Nature Awakening" in all its performances , always with great surprise at our eyes . It will be then March 30 to give us the final and definitive sign of the starting of the good season : the Summer time .. although we will force to lode one hour sleep !
A short tour in tuscany during the past weekend and see the first signs of Spring there..
Dans 3-4 jours il sera le printemps . la nuit entre le 20 et le 21 Mars sera l'Equinoxe de Printemps et dans cette nuit-là la nuit et le jour auront une durée idèntique (memes heures) . Et donc il faudra etre pret pour l'Eveil du printemps comme la Nature sera sans doute avec toutes ses manifestations et formes qui nous étonneront comme toujours !
Le 30 Mars aussi il y aura l'entrée offcielle de la belle saison avec l'HEURE D'ETE , mettre la montre une heure avant nous fera perdre une heure de sommeil mais on aura un tas de situations pour lesquelles il vaudra la peine etre debut!!!

San Patrizio , una storia in verde fra leggenda e realtà!
Non fatevi imngannare dal nome che potrebbe sembrare di origine "romana" .
In realtà San Patrizio era Irlandese figlio del diacono Calpurnio ed era nato sotto il nome di Maewyin Succat . Più tardi adottò il nome che tutti conosciamo .
Fu vescovo missionario che visse nel quinto secolo dopo Cristo ed è venerato da Cattaloci ed Ortodossi .
Maewyn/Patrizio fu rapito all'età di 16 anni (all'incirca nel 405) da pirati irlandesi e venduto all'ora re dell'Irlanda del Nord. Durante la sua schivitù che trascorse facendo soprattutto
il pastore di greggi, imparò la lingua gaelica e la religione celtica .
Dopo sei anni di prigionìa riuscì a fuggire dalla corte del re per tornare alla sua famiglia ed alla chiesa cristinaa di cui divenne prima diacono, poi vescovo.
Maewyn poi ricevette l'incarico dalla Chiesa di evangelizzare le isole britanniche , specialmente l'Irlanda che era quasi interamente pagana.
Fu dunque colui che diffuse maggiormente il Cristianesimo in Irlanda, ispirato dal paganesimo celtico dato che San Patrizio cercò di mantenere tradizioni e radici storiche del popolo irlandese , combinando elementi cristiani e pagani. Fu lui per esempio a dar vita alla croce celtica , sovrapponendo la croce solare a quella latina .
Diverse leggende sono legate alla figura di San Patrizio .
Una di queste per esempio , dice che in Irlanda non ci sarebbero più serpenti da quando il Santo li cacciò tutti in mare.
Ben nota anche la leggenda secondo cui il Pozzo di San patrizio è un pozzo senza fondo , dal quale dopo aver visto le pene dell'inferno si aprivano le porte del Purgatorio.
Ma quasi mitica è la leggenda secondo la quale San Patrizio avrebbe mostrato ai Celti il concetto della Trinità sfogliando i petali di un TRIFOGLIO irlandese (in inglese, Shamrock) : tre petali provenienti dallo stesso stelo...
Il Trifoglio da allora è l'emblema della Nazione di Irlanda . San Patrizio morì il 17 Marzo del 461 data che viene ricordata dalla comunità d'Irlanda e Nord America ma anche in singole città come Boston, Usa di cui San patrizio è il patrono e Montreal nella cui bandiera appare il trifoglio simbolo della grande presenza irlandese nella città: tutto è verde in quel giorno, abbigliamento , bevande , cibo e il trifoglio dappertutto!!

His name could sound "Roman" but the story is different . Infact St.Patrik was Irish, born around 385 after Christ with the name of MAEWYN SUCCAT . Later he adopted the name we all know. He was son of Calpurnius , deacon in Northern Ireland .
At the age of 16 , he was kidnapped by some Irish pirates and sold as slave to the then King of Northern Ireland . He worked in slavery as shepard while he could learn the gaelic language and move the first steps in teh Celtic religion. After 6 years he escaped from the court of the king and made return to his family and to the Christian church of which he first was deacon , then bishop.
He was then commissioned for the evangelization of the British isles and in particular in Northern Ireland whcih was almost entirely pagan. he was responsable for the spread of Christianity in Ireland , inspired by Celtic paganism since Patrick tried to keep the roots and historical traditions of the Irish people , combining many elements of Christian and pagan religions.
It was him to create the Celtic cross , overlapping the solar Cross on the Latin one. . St Patrick is connected to a number of facts waving between legend and reality . One of those states that in Ireland there are no snakes because st Patrick threw all them into the sea .
It is also famous St Patrick's Well , a bottomless pit , from which after seeing the torments of hell , one would see the doors of Purgatory.
But a further legens/story tells that st Patrick would have shown the Celts the concept of the Trinity by browsing the petals of a Shamrock : three petals riginating from the same stem . That's why Shamrock became the Irish national symbol.
St Patrick died on March 17, 461 which has become a date celebrated by all Irish communities in the world , mostly in Ireland and in North America . Boston, USA 's saint patron is St Patrick while Montreal, Canada has got a Shamrock on its flag to state the strong Irish presence in that town .
on that day, everything must be GREEN : food, drinks, wearings and shamrock must be everywhere!

Et aussi l'histoire du Puits de St Patrick , une sorte d'abîme où on voit tous les tourments et aprés les avoir vûs , les portes du Purgatoire s'ouvrent . Et une 3eme légénde selon laquelle St Patrick aurait montré les Celtes le concept de la Trinité en montrant les pètales d'un trèfle iralandais justement an anglais le Shamrock ) dont les trois pétales prennet leur origine de la même racine . Partout où il y a la présence irlandaise tout est ver le 17 Mars, le Food, les boissons, les vetements et avec un tas des trèfles partout!
Ogni tanto mi piace suggerire qualche ricetta che trovata e provata ritengo sia giusto farla conoscere .
Se poi ho anche un attrezzo nuovo e particolare che mi aiuta a procedere più speditamente , molto meglio!
Eccovi quindi la MOUSSE D'ANANAS e sotto l'attrezzo UTILISSIMO non solo per questa ricetta ma per tutte le volte che dovete mettere mano ad un ananas , ricavandone la polpa perfettamente pulita , affettata e senza sporcare in giro
MOUSSE DI ANANAS
Ingredienti per 6 pax : 1 ananas - 3 uova intere- 100g zucchero - 50g di farina
Procedimento
Pelare l'ananas senza lasciare tracce della buccia (l'attrezzo sotto è perfetto!)
Tagliare la polpa a pezzetti e passarla in un mixer ottenendo una purea .
In una ciotola separare i tuorli dagli albumi , mentre in un'altra ciotola unire i tuorli allo zucchero
ed alla farina. Mescolare bene , infine incorporare anche la purea di ananas.
Mettere tutto il composto in una casseruola a fuoco moderato e mescolare fino a che non vedete le prime bolle di ebollizione . Ritirare quindi la mousse dal fornello e lascaitela raffreddare .
Nel frattempo, montare a neve gli albumi ai quali incorporerete la crema di anana sraffreddata . Mettere tutto in una ciotola e lasciare raffreddare in frigo per almeno 3 ore. Servire fredda .
Suggerisco: accompagna benissimo una torta asciutta , tipo margherita ma non alla frutta , oppure dei biscotti secchi
Sometimes I like to propose little easy and tasteful recipes that I find in magazines & books , I try them and then decide to post here cause they deserve to be known by others . This is the case of a MOUSSE OF PINEAPPLE (Mousse(foam) = prepared food which can be fluffy and light or creamy and thick)-
I am glad to have tried this recipe cause I had a further chance to test my quite new kitche tool just for cutting (slicing) pineapples . It's very easy to use, you get full pulp in slices and you do not have to wash the entire kitchen after the operation!!. Below you can see the picture .
PINEAPPLE MOUSSE
Ingredients for 6 people : 1 pineapple - 3 eggs - 100g sugar - 50g flour
How to :
Peel the pineapple (the tool below is VERY useful here!) , removing all traces of the peel.
Dice the pulp and put in a mixer until you get a purea /cream .
Then separate the yolks fron the whites . Inside a bowl, pour the egg yolks , sugare and flour
all together and stir well.
Incorporate the pineapple purea in . Pour the mixture in asaucepan and leave the cream over moderate heat , stirring well and until you see the first signs of boiling . Withdraw the saucepan from the fire . Leave it resting and getting cool . Meanwhile whisk the whites and stir in the pineapple cream . Pour the hole in a bowl, place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours and serve coold.
I suggest : the cream is excellent to be served with dried cakes (no fruits or cream cakes) or with dried biscuits .
Parfois j'aime proposer de petites recettes , assez faciles à réalizer , que je lis dans les magazins ou les livres .J'ai trouvé et essayé cette recette , la MOUSSE D'ANANAS , très bonne . Une recette qui m'a donné la chance d'utiliser encore une fois l'utensile de cuisine pour couper l'ananas en tranches , sans salir toute la cuisine ! En bas le truc que j'avais acheté et que j'utilise regulièrement une fois par semaine (j'adore l'ananas!)
MOUSSE D'ANANAS
Ingrédients pour 6 personnes : 1 ananas - 3 oeufs - 100g de sucre - 50g farine
Procédure
péler l'ananas (l'utensile en bas est supe utile ici!!) en retirant toute trace de la peau . Couper la pulpe en morceaux et la paaser dans un mixer jusq'à obtenir une purée.
Séparer les jaunes des blancs . Dans un bol verser les jaunes d'oeufs , le sucre et la farine . Incorporer la purée d'ananas .
Mettre la crème obtenue dans une casserole et laisser le mèlange à feu moyen , en remouant , jusq'à quand il y a les premiers signes d'ébullition .
Rétirer donc la mousse du feu et la laisser refroidir . Battre les blancs et les ajouter
à la crème d'ananas . Mettre tout dans un bol et laisser reposer au réfrigérateur pour au moins 3 heures . Svire froide .
Je suggère de srevir la mousse avec des gateaux "secs" , pas des gateaux à la fruits ou bien avec d'autres crèmes ou bien servir avec des biscuits secs .
