SARDEGNA /La tessitura sarda. Le tissage sarde- Sardinia weaving

  Eccovi qualche esempio della splendida tecnica di tessitura tipicamente SARDA , chiamata "PIBIONES", tassitura a grani  e il cui significato in sardo è "acini d'uva" . Questo nome è dato ai piccoli anelli di filato (pippiolini) che spuntano fuori dal tessuto formando una figura.

Il Pibiones è un tessuto pesante il cui disegno è creato da un filo di trama supplementare (tra mone), le cui dimensioni sono maggiori a quelle del filo usato per la trama di fondo. Il filo supplementare viene fatto passare tra due fili d'ordito  e fatto firare attorno all'"agu", una sottile asta metallica che formerà un anellino , un pipiolino.

Alcuni luoghi dove si produce a pibiones sono Ittiri, Osilo, Santulussurgiu, Busachi , ecc..

I motivi decorativi tradizionali si possono suddividere in 4 gruppi:

- a soggetto geometrico - con disegni vegetali (vigne, fiori, ghiande, olivi,..)- con disegni di animali (specie la fauna sarda) - con simboli araldici o emblematici (l'aquila a due teste, il toro, il Castello,..)

I prodotti sono realizzati con telai in legno (orizzontali in alcune parti e verticali in altre, come la Barbagia). Questi telai hanno sempre prodotto lavorando lana di montone sardo , ma oggi si utilizzano anche per produrre in cotone e lino. Con questa tecnica vengono realizzati magnifici lavori di grande valore , quali tappeti, tappezzerie, tendaggi, copriletto(come i pregiati "fànugas" dei corredi più ricchi) , cuscini, asciugamani, tovaglie, centrotavola, ecc.

La tradizione vuole questi lavori nei due colori più importanti : bianco  ed ecru ma ora vengono realizzati in altri colori e questa diversità di colore, nel pibiones, favorisce l'emergere dell'immagine realizzata , specie se si lavora cotone, lino ed altre fibre moderne.

Voilà quelques exemples de cette merveilluese tecnique de tissage typique de la  Sardaigne .Il s'agit d'un type particulier de travail brodé à relief, crée à partire des grains (Pibiones en sarde pour dire "grains de raisain).

Le nom est donné aux petitx aneaux (picots) qui poussent hors du tissue et forme une figure .

Ces anneaux  sont rèalizés en trodant un fil supplémentaire (TRAMONE)  aoutour d'une aiguille (AGU en sarde) , qui est disposé dans une position horizontale sur le métier en bois.

L'aiguille est en suite arrachée, créant en effet de relief (grain/pibones).

La production est surtout concentrée dans certains villages sardes comme Ittiri, Osilo, Santulussrgiu, Busachi,et d'autres..

Les motifs décoratifs traditionnels peuvent etre divisés en quatre groupes:

- Sujet Géometrique

- Sujet avec les plantes (tiges, fleurs, glands, oliviers....)

- Sujet animaux (faune sarde en particulier)

- Sujet Symboles hèraldiques ou symboliques ( l'aigle avec 2 tetes, taureau, chateau,..)

Les produits sont fabriqués avec un métier  en bois notamment horizontal (Barbagia) mais il y en a aussi le métier vertical utilisé dans certains edroits de la régions.

Le métier travaill avant tout la laine des moutons sardes mais aujoud'hui aussi le coton et le lin.

Avec cette tecnique sont produites magnifiques oeuvres  de grande valeur, tel que tapis, tapisseries, rideaux , couvre-lits(comme les "fànugas, qui étaient dans les trousseaux les plus richies et exclusifs) , coussins, serviettes , nappes de table, dessou-de-lits, etcc..

Traditionellement ce travial est fait en blanc et en ecru, mais aujourd'hui on utlize d0autres couleurs  pour faire ressortir mieux ledessin avec les grains , particulierement si on travaille le coton, le lin et d'autre stissues modernes.

 Here are some examples of the wonderful weaving tecnique typical of Sardinia, called " a Pibiones" , weaving with grains (pibiones) which means in Sardinian languages " grapes". This name is given to the small loops of yarn (Pippiolini/picots)  sticking out of the fabric forming a figure , a pattern.

The Pibiones is a heavy fabric with a design created by an extra yarn  (TRAMONE) whse dimesnsions are greater than those of the yarns used for the pattern background . The extra yarn is passed between two warp yarns and pulled around the "AGU" (needle) , a thin metal rod that can form a ring, a picot /pibiones.

Traditional Pibiones works are produced in small villages of Sardinia like Ittiri, Osilo, Santulussurgiu, Busachi, etc.. .

The traditional decorative motifs can be divided in 4 groups:

- Geometric subject

- Subjects with plants  (flowers, plants, vines, acorns, olive trees,...)

- Subject with animals ( specially Sardinian fauna)

- Subject with heraldic symbolor symbolic symbols (the two-headed eagle, the bull, the Castle, ...)

The products are made with wooden frames (horizontal mostly , in Barbagia region , but also vertical frames are widely used) . These frames are always working on Sardinian sheep's wool, but today they can produce items in cotton and linen.

With this tecnique are produced magnificent works of great value, such as carpets, upholstery, curtains, bed covers ( such as the precious "fànugas" for rich and exclusif bride's trousseau), pillows, kitchen cloth, tablecloths, rugs, etc..

The tradition wants the products made in just two colours : white and ecru (cream) but today they are made in several other colours which improve even the result of the patterns on other fibers, like cotton, linen and techno-fibers to give a more impressive effect of the motif reproduced.
